I regret that I'm posting about this so late, because this party begins in less than a half an hour!~

I totally forgot that this was tonite. [insert red face here!]

I can't wait because this is my first Twitter party that I've ever attended! I hope I'm able to figure it all out, cause between you and me, I'm pretty much clueless how all of this works!. No matter, I plan to have fun, and if I'm not lucky to win a prize, it'll be fine just the same. I'm all about the experience!!

Hubby's clothing dilemma

My husband has jury duty today. In fact, he just left in our car and I'm pretty sure he's a little nervous about the whole thing. But at least he looks nice.

They instructed jurors to wear appropriate clothing for today, which doesn't include jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, tennis shoes, sandals..wait a minute..sandals? It can't be more than 10 degrees outside. Who in their right mind would be wearing sandals in the wintertime?
Hubby awoke bright and early this morning, and was in a frantic state. What will he wear? Standing on the upstairs landing looking down at me in the living room, he asks, "What do I wear today?' I say to him, "Pants and a shirt."  More than a few minutes pass, and by then I figure he's probably dressed and will be down soon. Nope.
"I don't have anything to wear!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Visions of every shopping excursion I ever had flashed through my mind. All the shirts, sweaters, and pants, in every color and style that I ever bought for him, have suddenly vanished this morning. He couldn't find one thing that either matched or fit. Without going upstairs, I calmly stated that his brown Docker pants would be a fine option for the proceedings. A few minutes went by and he finally came downstairs. He had on the Dockers, and a light blue striped short-sleeved shirt.
"Your going to freeze in that shirt. I said. Why don't you put a sweater over it?"
"I don't have anything that will go with this."
"Yes you do" I said. So back upstairs he went.
A couple of minutes later, and I have to say, I was very surprised that he found something so quickly, especially after proclaiming in the beginning that he had absolutely nothing to wear. He was wearing a very nice dark blue long sleeved pullover sweater with a light horizontal yellow stripe towards the top. He looked very nice, and I'm sure will impress everyone, well, almost everyone he sees today.
As for myself, I'm praying this is a one day trial, so he doesn't have to go back tomorrow. If he does, maybe I'll just pretend to be asleep.

The Truth Of The Matter
by Andrew Klavan

This book is the third installment in The HomeLanders Series by Andrew Klavan. I hadn't had the pleasure of reading the first two books, and I was a little skeptical that I would be able to follow the story. My doubt faded as I finished reading the first few chapters. Not only was I able to grasp what the main character's (Charlie West) backround was, but I was eager to continue reading to see how his adventure would unfold.

Charlie is certain that if he could just regain his memory, the chaos around him would make sense. But the truth of the matter is even more incredible than he could imagine.

Charlie West was an ordinary high school kid who went to bed one night and woke up in the clutches of terrorists and wanted by the police for murder. He also woke up with no memory of the events of the past year.

Now Charlie has found the one person who knows what happened . . . and who can help him remember. But remembering is painful--as well as dangerous--and figuring out what to do with  this new knowledge may be Charlie's toughest challenge yet.

I found this book to be a patriotic and faith based story. Charlie wants to do what's right, all the while thinking of his family, and wondering if his actions will hurt the ones he loves. He relies on his faith in God to get him through his ordeal, all the while struggling to regain his memory and find his purpose. I found some of his predicaments a little far-fetched for a boy of eighteen, but this is fiction, so I took that into account. The situations he finds himself in are vivid, suspenseful, action packed, and the reason why I was able to finish this book in one day. The final chapter gives us some of the answers that Charlie and us, the readers, had been searching for. Questions still remain, as the last book in The Homelanders series, The Final Hour, is to be out in August 2011.

Even though this is juvenile fiction, and geared more towards teenagers, I enjoyed this book very much. I recommend this for anyone looking for a suspense filled, and well written novel.
